I have a (vintage)small Vesuviana expresso machine (electic) all chrome, need to know the model number and what year it was manufactured, and if there is a intruction booklet for it. On th bottome of the unit it spells out Vesuviana made in Italy w. 560 v. 115.Those are the only markings that I could find. I'm located in the Southern California area.

I also own a small (3 cup) Vesuviana Espresso Coffee machine in Chrome /alloy
I have a small 4 page instruction booklet that came with it. I have tried to take digital photos of it so that they might be e-mailed to you, however I couldn't get a decent shot where you could read the text clearly. Perhaps I could photocopy these pages and post them to you?
There are only a few paragraphs in English, the rest are Italian,French, German and Spanish. The English part states the following (I'm quoting it literally, including the odd spellings!) Here's a classic among <

Your VERSUVIANA coffee maker will never disappoint your guests or yourself, for it brews a really unbeatable cup of coffee, unfailingly strong and piping hot!
You're often faced with the problems of how to serve coffee - your VESUVIANA provides you with a handy and brilliant solution in the form of a pitcher.
And, last but not least, your VESUVIANA is the safest of all coffee makers, thanks to the weighted valve in the plug. We might well call it the <
The standard type, suitable for all kinds of rangers and stoves is available in the 3-,6-,9-,12-, and 24- cup sizes.
The electric type (fixed voltage) is kinds of ranges and stoves, is built in the 3-,6- and 9- cup sizes.
HOW TO USE 1. - Unscrew the plug and pour water into the boiler, (a generous pitcher-full).
2. - Remove the coffee-holder filter and fill with finely ground coffee.
3. - Screw up the boiler, replace the coffee-holder, and place the pitcher (open) under the filter.
N.B. - Make sure your new coffee maker operate once to twice with water only, to cleanse it thoroughly. Always open it before storing.

I have a Vesuviana stove top model (it appears to be the nine cup version) that I found in an old garage. It is in really good shape and cleaned up well, however the coffee basket is missing. Does anyone know where a replacement part might be found?

I dont have an answer but a question..I have a stove top Vesuviana...have had it for about 20 years but have not used it in the past 15..dont remember if it has a gasket on the boiler part where you put the water...I am afraid to use it since it looks as the same system as a pressure cooker....please help...maria

I can't help on the original question, sadly.
Need help myself, though, with my stovetop Vesuvianna.
The thing's been heavily used (both because I drink a lot of coffee and also because I love the damn thing itself so much!) the rubber gasket that acts as a seal between the main unit and the filter basket is dried out and cracking away.
If there's anyone who has any advice on where to look to secure a new gasket, I'd love to hear from you.
