The Planning Department of the Lowcountry Council of Governments in South Carolina is working on a plan for the Town of Yemassee, which still has the only active passenger train depot between Charleston (SC) and Savannah.

We are interested in any memories or accounts of specials events, important visitors, etc. who passed through the station in th 1920s-40s.

Also any information about who designed the station building.
