Was Dr. Newdow's interpretation of Establishment Clause correct?

Was Dr. Newdow's suit, that the Pledge of Allegience with references to the Christian religion, was in violation of the Constitution? Could the Pledge still retain the true meaning of showing loyalty to the US without the reference?

I think the true meaning on the Pledge of Allegience should be about pride in our country. The word god does not belong there, as in our country we are free to have our own beliefs. That is why we formed this country, for freedom and religious freedom. I agree with Dr. Newdow.

Dr Newdow is absolutly correct and I admire him in his appearance before the Supreme Court. I was raised as a Catholic and understand what it is to have been brainwashed.
