The only reason WHY we have dead soldiers in Afghanistan is BECAUSE of the US.

And Kant, we broke out of the U.K. a while ago. Theyre more like a parent to us, and we are the children who moved away from home. Sure, theyre still family, but dont have any real control.

You want to use the Somalian incident as an example? Sure, watch this.

Fact 1: The US is its own weapons supplier

This means, essentially, that the US can make anything it likes before going into combat. They will have the best precision made weapons that dont fail and will be able to create different weapons for different situations. They dont have to spend money out of country in order to get arms, arms that are usually bottom of the barrel stuff that are a decade or two old. Like the stuff the Somalians were using, that was old U.S.S.R shit.

Fact 2: The training

The US has the money to put its men through official training. That means they can get official firearms training (for their GOOD weapons, mind you), while the poor Somalians cannot. The best they can do is a few day course run by the local citizens on how to fire your gun.

Fact 3: Health level

Did you see those poor damn somalians? They have almost NO nutrition in their bodies, and can barely keep themselves upright, let alone fight. Its no wonder that one bullet put em down, where it took a few wounds to take out Americans. Geez, cmon, Ill bet half of those so called kills by the Americans were due to the somalians dying from malnutrition.

Fact 4: Air Support

The U.S. has it. Not many other countries do. Other then decade old RPGs, what do poor countries have to fight it? Nothing.

And even tho the US had ALL this, they STILL couldnt complete the mission and royally fucked up.

look, we have worked harder then any other country to achieve our greatness. There is no denying it. Look at Europe. It has been around a whole lot longer then the U.S. How do you think we got so powerful? it just happened? no. Americans had to work for their greatness. Canada didn't work. Maybe they worked a little sure, but they had help from Britain who has been around for who knows how long. All we had was a 13 fucking colonies. No they didnt. The mission was to grab all the high ranking officials that were to be at that meeting that they were busting in on. Well, if you read the book on the mission (The name escapes me for the moment) they grabbed the meeting before it started, and didnt get some of the people they wanted. They fucked up.

And no, the U.S. did NOT work hardest for everything that they have today. I would say Russia and China have gone the distance. Look at all the shit theyve gone through, and yet, seem to be civilized and populated (China is getting pretty damn close to the US in power).

Canada is the only major country in the world that hasnt suffered from large scale civil war (Meh, there was that little uprising by that Louis Riel guy, but that took place only in what is now Manitoba). The States STILL cant agree with each other, and there is still a lot of conflict between the north and the south.

Most of the poverty in the world IS connected to the US, weather you want to beleive it or not. Much of it is probably unintentional, but let me show you something.

Did you know that the US used to send cars and goods to Iraq? Do you know why they stopped doing this? No, not because of the gulf war, but because Iraq made it clear to the world that they were going to attempt to become independant. This would mean the US wouldnt hold anymore power there. So, what did they do? Stopped trading with Iraq, completely and totally.

ok, i am going to end my part in this flame war with a few comments. I am in or start a ton of flame wars and i figure it's time i stop. so here are my remaining comments.
First of all, i would like to say that i'm fine with vinnie since he does feel bad for the citizens who died in the WTC attack. I'm not sure if KC is happy about the WTC attack, but if he is, he's gay.
Next, i would like to say that Bush sucks balls. He is incredibaly stupid and i am upset that his desisions reflect the rest of the U.S.

There is ONE Canadian Peacekeeper to a town over in Africa, sometimes two, if they're lucky. Their sole mission is to keep order and make sure everyone gets along. Most of our military spending is put into these peacekeepers. This in NO way benefits us, its something we dont have to do.

Amerika doesnt send its people worldwide, it sends its excess money. Money which ropes in countries and makes them side with the U.S.

I'm not saying the united states is better, so i'm not arguing over which is better. I'm just defending the U.S. KC however is saying the U.S. is terrible and all. If you notice, i'm defending the U.S., and not taking the offensive possition and flamming Canada. I think the U.S. isn't that bad of a place. Its gov may not be good, but it's a cool place to live in. Our government does have some defaults though. Like every other government has. One recent "mean" thing that we are doing is what we are doing to the Al Quita(spelling?) prisoners. Everyone probably knows that we took them to Montiko(something like that...) bay in Cuba(not actual Cuba, just Islands near it that are considered to be in Cuba, not politically, but geographically. The thing is, we did that so they have no rights under the U.S. constitution. Kinda mean? you decide. But, what they did to us was mean. The only problem is, we don't even know if they are the people we want and all. So i am not flamming other places, im just protecting the U.S. I am aware of a few problems that we have, but all governments have problems. It's not right to focus on the U.S. And anyways, if anyone tries to pull a stunt on the U.S., we'll frag their asses.
