It is times like this that we need our A.M.E Family

Rev. Fisher works so hard in his church, his secular job and keeping this web page going. He is also experiencing the recent lost of his beloved father. I am asking all who read and post of the board to offer prayers and words of encouragement. Scripture tells us to encourage one another. Rev. Fisher you are greatly loved on this board and I know God will lift you high! This week I checked in with my United methodist colleague who is a dear friend and I told him I was working on my annual report. He generously offered to give me his report to submit. We laughed and laughed. Rev. Fisher he has 700 members, three services on sundays and a huge budget. I have found talking and laughing with my colleagues is another way to bolster my spirit when I feel weary. So family members let's tell Rev. Fisher how much we care about him and pray for him. He could use it right now. I hope we can hear a word of encouragement from all the districts. Joy

Dear Rev. Fisher,

I pray that during your time of grief that the Holy Spirit will comfort you and allow you to get through this situation. I pray that your faith as a christian will grow and that others will be drawn closer to Jesus Christ as a result of your work.

Although, I have never met you, I would like to thank you for the warm invitation that you extended to me personally via e-mail in the year 2000 when I initially posted on this board. It was largely your comments which inspired me to seek membership in the AME church. I pray to God that He will give us more wise ministers like yourself in our denomination.

Rev. Fisher, I just want to send out a prayer your way. I have certainly been missing hearing from you via your daily newsletter. I know you have been going through a lot this past year but please know that your "website friends" are praying for you. It was a joy and pleasure to actually meet you and Sis. Jan face to face at the Annual Conference at St. Matthew AME Church this year. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me...." Peace & Love, JoAnn Richardson
