At night, in thought
I see the dark sky full
Of stars, brilliant, powerful
Inspiring, as if they perhaps
Stirred thought, emotion,
Inspiration, melancholy.
Oh clarity! Tonight
I see stars! I see love
Happiness, hope! Even
Myself and God, yet never
Anything else.
