Hee everyone. I just want to say that Nourdin is a very cool guy and a super player. And I truley love the hair!! I work in the Arena (the ajax stadion in amsterdam) as a medic (every game) and i'm fortunate 'cause i'm allowed to go everywhere in the stadion. (except to the dressing rooms...bummer!!) I once asked him for an authograph but that was just a short meeting. But he was really nice! Now i want a picture of him and me. He's cute.. Well that's my story (hanneke)

I never understood way ajax bougth boukahari.

1: he is 22. so he is not a great talent.

2. Ajax already had 5 wingers ( Sikora, wamberto, Meyde, Ikedia and Van Gun)

3. Ajax have Hirsi, who is a great talent, and 3 years younger, and he can play the same possions as boukhari.

4. Ajax have some promblems sell players, so way sould Ajax buy a player they dont' relly wont to youse?

What i see Rampage,is -at least- Machlas leaving the team...Maybe he was out of the squad because he is not in a good psysical condition now.I don't think Ajax has TOO many players.Every player has to fight to get a place in the starting eleven. And that's good...But seeing Machlas playing with Jong-Ajax really hurts(OUCH!).

In a 4-3-3 system we have too many strikers. In a 4-4-2 we have the exact amount that we need.

Well,Ajax buys many players that are gone after a while. It is a tactic of the team to bring young players in the squad. Some of them turn out good, some of them don't...Let's hope Nourdin stays...

By the way Geo, Boukhari's a left-winger. And about that we're so filled up with: "Huh?" :)

The way I see it, it's either Mido or Zlatan filling up the striker's position when a 4-3-3 system is used. The way I imagine it:

Stekelenburg Trabelsi-Bergdolmo-Chivu-O'Brien Galásek-Van der Vaart-Maxwell Van der Meyder-Mido/Zlatan-Sikora

and when a 4-4-2 would come in use:

Stekelenburg Trabelsi-Bergdolmo-Chivu-O'Brien Pienaar-Galásek-Van der Vaart- Zlatan-Mido

With a 4-4-2, Koeman could just either use Sikora or Wamberto as backup strikers, or get Machlas or Nando Rafael from the reserve squad. Plenty of players, I agree, but not like it's a ridiculous ammount or anything like that.

Close, but no sigar, Menno. Not a big one, anyway. ;) My guess is, Wamberto's the reserve right-winger. He's more right than left-footed, and always seemed to feel more at home on the right wing. So by all means, let's all hope he feels at home on the bench as well. :)

Welcome Nourdin!!!I thought he was a striker. Now i learn he is a winger. Now i dunno if he is a left or right winger. :-D Anyway,we have very powerfull wings now(or i hope so...).Koeman said he wants double occupation for every position. What about the striker position???If he will play a 4-4-2 system, then we have 4 players to cover the positions,so it's ok.If he wants a 4-3-3 system(which is what i think he prefers),we have MANY players for ONE position.Guess what!Someone has to leave...

Ronald Koeman quote from Ajax.nl: "I want double occupation for every position. I have four players for two wing positions now: Van der Meyde, Wamberto, Sikora and Boukhari."

That's interesting, cos it makes clear how Koeman regards Boukhari. With Sparta it was kind of unclear what his position was, cos he basically did everything on his own. He seemed a left footed 'number ten' or central striker to me, in most cases, although he had a lot of action over the left flank as well.

But Koeman regards him as a (left) winger. So we have three left wingers now (Wamberto, Sikora and Boukhari). Or does Koeman want to use Sikora as a right winger? (Overmars often played as a right winger as well, at Ajax! His right and his left were essentially equally good; same goes for Sikora, apparently).
