It is unfortunate that the catholic church, has succeeded in totally demoting the human being, whom God has in His awesome wisdom and splendor, chosen to create us in His image and in His likeness-- Gen:1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion (power, authority, control) over the fish of the(men) sea, and over the fowl of the air,(spirits) and over the cattle, and over all the earth, (nature)and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.(animals) The catholic church has gone out of its' way to bring God's holy creation, us to the point where countless millions of their followers believe that they are not good enough to approach God themselves in prayer, but have to depend on dead saints to do so for them. They totally disqualify the fact that Jesus Christ died to restore us to the Father. Lk:1:68: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed (bought back)His people, Gal:3:13: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Rv:5:9: And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation, and that His death was to restore to us a perfect relationship with our God. Jesus paid with His life, and with every drop of His precious blood to restore mankind to God. It is unfortunate, that they have taught their people to pray to the dead saints- yes I know the trick explanation-dead on earth but alive in Christ in heaven.- But we the saints on earth, - and the Word of God calls the believers, saints throughout the entire bible. Deut:33:1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. (here the Israelites, are called saints, while they were alive and on this earth) Acts:9:32: And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. (dwelt hear meaning living in a house on earth) Acts:26:10: Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. ( Here Paul proves that the saints are alive on earth, because he goes on to say that he put them to death.).- we the saints of earth are also are alive in Christ 1Cor:15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. Do you not see that God, has chosen to call His children on the earth, saints? Do you not see that a person does not have to have a miracle produced by God and through their hands to be called a saint? Open your eyes, and your ears and see child of the Most High God. Your Father in heaven calls you a saint. What right does the catholic church have to demote the rest of mankind into believing that they are not good enough to be called a saint? Child of the Most High God, open your bibles, see for yourselves how many times God calls His children, you, saint. Don't allow religion and tradition to determine your relationship with God. Get your bibles learn God's laws see for yourselves that He wants you for Himself. Ex:34:14: For thou shalt worship no other god- - (Ps 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; all of you are children of the Most High God. Jn:10:34: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Here God is calling us gods)-- for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. God wants you for Himself, every moment you spend praying to Mary and to the saints in heaven, every moment you spend honoring other gods is a moment you spend apart from your God. 1Cor:10:22: Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? He does not want you praying to the saints, otherwise He would have said so. Nowhere in the entire bible do you find any of God's powerful men and women calling on those who have gone before. Moses did not call on Abraham. Joshua did not call on Moses. Paul did not call on Elijah. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter not one of them called on the dead saints of the past to intercede for them. I assure you, my brother and sister in Christ, there is only One who is able to intercede for us in heaven. His name is Jesus Christ. Rom:8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Rom:8:34: Who is He that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Heb:7:25: Wherefore He-Christ- is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. The power and the miracles that God did in the lives of the saints was determined by their personal one-on-one relationship, with Him, the Most High God. Their Father. Your Father. God, calls each one of us to a relationship with Him. Just you, and Him. Rom:6:8: Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Gal:2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.Gal:5:1: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Col:3:1: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Your relationship is to be with God, in Christ only! God does not want you praying to the dead saints nor does He want you talking to dead saints. In fact He commands it. Deut 18: 10: There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,11: Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. (necromancy--method of divination through invocation of the dead-- Webster's College Dictionary): For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Your relationship is to be with Him only, and only through Jesus Christ. Jn:20:31: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life (live)through His name. Do you not know that YOU are the righteous saints of God.? Rom:3:22: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ (given)unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. God Himself, calls you righteous, what right then does the catholic church have to say that you are not? What right do they have to make you believe that you are not good enough, not righteous, to go to God and to get his help. The Word of God, says that in Jesus Christ you are worthy. The blood of Jesus paid for your sins to make you worthy. Eph:1:7: In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Col:1:14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: If you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord, your Savior, your Redeemer, if you are living your lives according to the laws of the Most High God, if you believe that Salvation is yours, not because of the good that you do, but by faith in what Christ has done,-- Rom:1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 1Thes:5:9: For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, --then get up, look at yourselves in the mirror, and say what God calls you. Say it to the top of your lungs. I am the righteousness of God in Christ! Begin living that way-God's way-- Jesus' Way. 2Cor:5:21: For He hath made Him-Christ-- to be sin for us, (me)who knew no sin; that we ( I ) might be made the righteousness of God in him. Learn ALL of God's laws. Learn who you are in Christ. Learn for yourself. Do not take what the catholic church, or anyone else have taught you as law. Don't believe it because I have written it, believe it because it is the Word of God, and it is His Law. God's Word is Law and it is final. It cannot and will never change Mt:24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words (My Law) shall not pass away. & Lk:21:33: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My Word, (My Law) shall not pass away. Learn the Word of God, thoroughly, inside and out. Learn God's laws for yourselves. The bible is God's law for how you are to live your life. Live as Christ did. Love as Christ loved. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons. Do all that Jesus did, and in the name of Jesus. Now that I have presented the truth to you, it is for you to decide what your are going to do. Are you going to believe God's teachings, or are you going to believe the teachings of the catholic church? But remember one thing as you decide because God says, Deut:30:19: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. Selah.

Candice, if you really knew how Catholics pray (and why), you would not have posted that long-winded malarkey. First learn the truth. Then you may be in a position to question or criticize. But don't attack Catholics from a position of utter ignorance. In fact, "attacking" us from any position is against the rules of the forum.
Thanks. JFG
