Fever's? (especially for ML)

Wow,

If you guys think you get fevers some times, you should read about St. Pio. I'm looking right now at four (4) pictures of thermometers that St. Pio BROKE during his life. Attached to these pictures are the doctors statements of authenticity. One doctore had a very large thermometer and took St. Pio's temp...127.4 F!!! Another one 125.6 F, to which the Dr. stated, "if I were to give him an egg-nog to revive him it would have fried."

It was written by Padre Paolino in his memoirs:

"In considering the illness that struck Padre Pio during my stay with him in San Giovanni Rotondo, I must accept what a number of serious minded people, who know Padre Pio well, told me, that these crisis of health that took place in him were more often caused for moral reasons, e.g. the conversion of a sinner, the cure of someone seriously ill etc., which would then be taken out on him so that he would be physically tormented sometimes in unimaginable ways."

So if you ever have a fever, or maybe your children do, ask St. Pio for his intercession. He surely knows what you are going through, for he reached the very extreme.

In Christ.

Dear Jake,

Thank you for sharing that. I am quite familiar with St. Pio's torments...but not, the fevers.....thanks for that information.

Another saint involved in the cure of fevers: St. Clare

Getting to Know Saint Clare A Miracle

A young boy, the son of the Lord Giovanni di Masestro Giovanni, procurator of the Poore Clare sisters, was seriously ill with a fever. This was mentioned to Mother St. Clare. When he received the sign of the cross from her, he was cured.

August 11th is the feast of Saint Clare - Let us pray for a special blessing from St. Clare

Holy Mother Saint Clare - pray for us

Oh, MaryLu,

You and I love the exact same saints (we love them all, but I'm talking about favorites - St. Pio, St. Francis, St. Clare..)! I always ask St. Clare for her intercession. She was so close to St. Francis, my Patron. I chose St. Francis for my confirmation name, and Erika, my fiance, chose St. Clare.

Thank you for the info.!

In Christ.

Jake,

Thanks for the post. I've read several articles about St. Pio, but never that.

That's a double WOW from me:)

Peace

Dear Jake,

Please pray to St. Clare for my son, MJ. He hates his job and it is awful to have to go to a job one hates. Please pray for his job situation. Thank you.

You got it MaryLu!

I will pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for your son today:)

Your son should know that God has a plan for him. And God writes straight with crooked lines. I also feel somewhat like I don't really like my job. I don't want to say that I hate it; it gives me the chance to write with you. But, I also know that it was God who led me to this job. In my opinion, people who look for jobs purely to make themselves happy (without it being from God) are selfish. Anyone in their right mind would HATE to be in the midst of poverty, serving the leprous and diseased people. But Mother Theresa made it her job! It didn't give her much physical enjoyment, physical benefits, and it certainly didn't pay well (probably not at all). But it was Gods plan for her, and her spiritual enjoyment overshadowed all. St. Teresa, the Little Flower, was also in a much similar situation (being given all the “odd” jobs in here convent). But she offered it up.

Don't worry MaryLu! Either your sons job will change, or your son will change his feelings about his job :) I know our prayers will be heard.

In Christ.

"I will pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for your son today:) "

That should be ALSO! In addition to my prayer to St. Clare.

St. Clare, you took such joy in the service of others. Pray that we, and especially MaryLu's son, MJ, are given the same joy to not only do the very best we can at our jobs, but also to witness to those around us at our jobs of the Holy Power of God. Amen.

In Christ.

Dear Jake,

Thank you for your prayers and keep them coming, please! My son received a possible new job offer....nothing confirmed yet...but he now has hope that his present job is not set in stone!

God Bless you with His peace!
