Just One Last Night...by..me...

Chapter One: It was a bright and sunny day on Mercury in Crystal Tokyo. It usually always is. But, today was special; it was Princess Ami's birthday. Oh, Princess Ami...she was loved by everyone on Mercury, with her perfect figure, her deep, dark blue eyes, her soft, silky dark blue hair...and so friendly. She always said "hello". Anyway...her mother had invited to her birthday party a man she never heard of. They called him Emperor Kojiro. Emperor Kojiro, as they say, was charming, athletic, polite, and extremely handsome. Poor Princess Ami never really took a liking to this idea. First of all, he was a stranger who she never met. Sure, they say he's a great warrior and all, but how can she be sure that they're only saying this? They've been trying to set her up with a man for months. Secondly, well, she couldn't find a reason for that one. "I don't really know if I want to meet him." Ami said quietly in her soft voice. "Of course you do! I told him you wanted to," her mother answered. "But, mother-" she was interrupted by a sounding of trumpets. A loud voice shouted, "Now presenting his majesty, Emperor Kosaburo!" "Oh great...Not him..." Ami had said. Emperor Kosaburo's entrance was anything but happy for Princess Ami. She hated him. He was handsome, yes, when you first see him, with dark brown eyes and short green hair, but his voice! Argh! Just hearing him say one letter makes you want to curl up and die! And he liked the princess, to make matters worse. "Greetings, -" He was also interrupted by trumpets. After a good hour of trumpets interrupting everyone's conversations, the trumpet that the princess's mother had waited for had finally came. As Princess Ami looked at the door to see Emperor Kojiro, everything stood still. She felt her pulse quicken and could tell she was blushing. Emperor Kojiro was very handsome indeed, with medium length indigo hair and mysterious emerald green eyes. His hair was in a head band and he was wearing a cape with two black shoulder covers with a bright red rose on each one. Hanging from these were sort of plates with a scene of a desert and a bright diamond in the sky. With one quick motion he knelt down, lifted the princess's hand, and gently kissed it. Ami was blushing extremely bad now. "I'm very pleased to meet such an exotic, lovely young lady as yourself, Miss Ami." Emperor Kojiro said as he rose to his feet. He was blushing, too. Then something else caught his eye. At that moment, he noticed that Emperor Kosaburo was there.

Chapter 2: "So, we meet again, huh, Kosaburo?" Kojiro asked fiercely. "Rather...er..unpleasent, isn't it?" "Indeed." Kosaburo answered. There was a long pause while the two stared at eachother angrily. "Anyway," Kosaburo started. "Here's my present, Ami." "That's PRINCESS Ami to you." She replied as he handed her a box. Ami opened it. It was a porcelain doll of himself. "Now you can carry me around anywhere!" Emperor Kosaburo said happily. "I feel so...so...frightened." Ami said. "I mean, it's YOU!" "Ain't it cute?" "NO!" Ami answered, near tears. "Then maybe this will cheer you up, Princess." Emperor Kojiro said, smiling as he handed her his gift, neatly wrapped. Ami tore open the paper and opened the box. Inside was a beautiful marble jewelry box. She gasped with excitement. Kojiro insisted she opened the jewelry box, too, and she found a lovely golden necklace. The princess couldn't help but give him a hug. A few weeks later, Princess Ami and Emperor Kojiro became good friends (he was staying at the Mercury Pagoda for a visit). And as you can imagine, Emperor Kosaburo was very jealous. Princess Ami wore her necklace everyday, and never took it off. As for the doll...well...she totally destroyed it. Ami also found out that Emperor Kosaburo and Emperor Kojiro were rivals for a long tine, If one did something, the other competed to do better. This was all explained at dinner while Kosaburo was very ill. That night, as Ami was preparing for her bed, her maid had an interesting discussion with her. "So, are you and Kojiro planning to marry?" Her maid asked. "No...we're just friends. That's all." Ami answered, brushing her hair. "Oh, well, I think he likes you." "Yeah, him and everyone else here. "Do you like him?" At this, Ami couldn't stop blushing. Although she had extremely powerful emotions for him, she never could tell him. Or her mother. Or anybody. It would spread like jelly on a sandwich, and who knows what Emperor Kosaburo would do to him (he'd never hurt the princess). "I don't know" is all she answered
