George Tooker reproductions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco Art : One Thread

Does anyone know where I can purchase reproductions of George Tooker's work, other than "Subway," and at a reasonable price? On line sources would be much appreciated.

I'm especially interested in his "Garden Party" and his lantern series.

Thank you!

This isn't an answer, but a question. I'm also looking for a Tooker print, "The Embrace of Peace." Did you find a source? Constance

I haven't found any sources for George Tooker other than "Subway." As a last resort, you could use this site: www.doupine.com. You can send them any picture and they will copy it onto canvas. You need to get a price quote from them first, since they seem to charge by the "head" -- which may mean by the number of figures in the painting. Check their FAQ page. I suspect they use some kind of image projection to work from. It probably would be polite to ask Mr. Tooker's permission before having the picture done, though I think if you are only making one for your own use, there is no copyright violation. Does anybody know how to find an artist's agent?

I'm looking for a print/poster of a Tooker piece which I think is called "Last Supper," contemporary figures, AfricanAmerican man w/two white men, glass of wine, small loaf of bread, want to give framed print or poster to favorite pastor. Found this: George Tooker is represented by D. C. Moore Gallery in New York. Hope this helps, hope you can help.
