poopielessness

greenspun.com : LUSENET : FRL friends : One Thread

I know this is hard to believe, but I was told that the word 'poopie' is not a word. This really upset me. I have heard other people use the word, some of whom are even partially educated, and always just thought it was a real word.

Imagine my horror and shock to find out it isn't in the dictionary! NO, don't bother looking, I already did. In two dictionaries, no less.

There was no 'poopie'. I saw 'poop', 'pooped', 'poops', and even 'pooping', but alas, no 'poopie'.

Do you realize what this means? We, as a society, are poopieless!

Sorry, but I just thought you all should know---

Well, I dunno about society, but I do know some idjuts who are not poopieless!

idjuts?

Hmm. Are you saying that there are some poopieful people, despite there being no poopies?

It's quite simple really. When the aliens took the Poopie Puffs, all mention of the word was erased from our data-banks, dictionaries, etc. That way, we would not remember what was stolen, and we would not pursue them.

Relax my friend, no need to be ashamed and horrified. ;-)

Oh! Thank you so much, Chief Investigatress. I feel better already. To think it was all just another one of them there conspiracies... Poopie! (uh, I mean, Sheesh!)

...and I thought this was a constipation thread ...

Ok, Gang. It seems as though the siblings will be going before the mule, and so this thread will serve as good as any for the sequel, especially given it's subject ;-)

As far as a plot, I'll sleep on it and probably begin tomorrow.

When I was at A.I.D., there was a period when Bangla Desh was so broke that it looked like it would have to give up metal coinage. There was a contingency plan to replace the rupee with the "poopie", disks of compressed dried baby poop, the one thing which that country had huge amounts of.
