BTW, it's 8 pm EDT.

Ginger had a pet mouse for a few days, but she kept losing it. And then looking for sympathy. I'm starting to have more sympathy for the poor mouse.

I just wanna know if Sweetie got back okay . . .

Brooks, you're tough. I knew you'd survive. (;

Having withdrawal symptoms, were we?

Sweetie got back in record time, home around 8 PM on Wednesday. Janet seems fine. Nice looking truck, although when I asked our mechanic what to do about the oil, he said, "Sell it. I don't like Mitsubishi products."

Cats wouldn't talk to Sweetie for an hour then decided to forgive him and were all over him. Except for the psycho ones,of course. Nice doomer dinner for Sweetie--Zatarain's gumbo mix with a can of clams and a can of oysters added, their liquid used for some of the water. Yummy! Fresh boiled shrimp and home-made cocktail sauce too.

Off to Charleston early Saturday, find an apt. for Sweetie, then back here Sunday. Sweetie is actually due down there to work on Friday, 16th.

When I checked with the United Van Lines storage place in Charleston, come to find out (quelle surprise!) that there were extra charges not mentioned when I was told storage would be $150 for a month. Like $109 for "handling" and an incredible $475 for delivering the load within Greater Charleston, insurance, taxes, etc., etc.. (There's not that much.) So we'll find an apt., change the delivery address (we have the driver's cell phone number as well as the agent handling the load in Col. Springs) and then we avoid all that expense, paying only for the move. Stuff is scheduled to be in Charleston on the 17th, Sweetie has his air bed, coffee maker and other essentials so can manage till it arrives. If it gets there a bit early, well, Sweetie can go down there a bit early.

Sweetie was so glad to be home, he cut the grass without being asked.

Oysters?....safe to say he'll find out tonight how much he was missed.

And speaking of missed, has anyone else noticed that the greenspun server is faster?

Almost worth the wait while it was down.

Is it faster? Since I went back to dial-up everything seems to go at a snail's pace.
