Gardening in the buff ruled not indecent Canadian Press

Friday, August 09, 2002 ADVERTISEMENT PITTSBURGH (AP) - You have a right to expose your privates in private. That's the gist of a Pennsylvania Superior Court ruling. The panel has overturned the harassment and indecent exposure convictions of naked gardener Charlie Stitzer. He was busted after a neighbor complained that she and her teen-aged daughter had seen Stitzer gardening in the buff.

Back in March the court ruled that Stitzer's backyard is private, and he can wear as little as he wants. This week, the court tossed out a harassment conviction involving letters he sent to the neighbor who complained.
