Final Fantasy 1&2 remake for playstation.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : All Things Final Fantasy II : One Thread

Well I found this article today at gamespot. No word though if it will come to America.

Final Fantasy remakes update     Square releases new screenshots from the PlayStation remakes of Final Fantasy I and II.

Square has updated its official site with some new screenshots from the PlayStation remakes of Final Fantasy I and II. Both games will receive a visual overhaul and will feature new CG introductions. The games will be sold separately, but Square also plans on releasing a special package that includes both of them. There's currently no word on a North American release.

Final Fantasy I and II are scheduled for release this fall in Japan.

I thought wonderswan color was in japan only. And what is al bhed? Sorry if I sound stupid but I have never heard of that term before.

Trowa, the Al Bhed are the people on Ff10 who use machina.

I have never played 10.

Then let me give yu a quick briefing. In FF10 the use of machina(machinery) has been forbidden as the people of Yevon(God). The Al Bhed are people who use machina, and have thier own language.

I saw the pictures and the world map looked like the one in ff6 when it came to graphics. There are also some cut scenes too.

I went to my local VG dealer yesterday and asked him when these were going to be U.S. released. He said he didn't know, but I know I saw something about this on one of the MAJOR Final Fantasy websites. I wonder what it's going to be called? FF5 and 6 = Final Fantasy Anthology. FF4 and Chrono Trigger = Final Fantasy Chronicles. FF1 and 2 = ??? Any speculation?

Final Fantasy classic maybe?Or perhaps FF Legends.Or FF Mythology.

-- Anonymous, August 18, 2002

I thought it sounded familiar Davy.

i just found out a couple of months ago that they are going to make a remake of ff 8 for ps2 with voices and real orchestra music it should be on release in 2005

-- Anonymous, August 24, 2002

....Why would they do that? Also, it wouldn't be that long. PS3 is rumored to be released around then. FFX took 2 1/2 years to develop, why would a remake take just as long? I don't think your sources are very reliable, Marionette.

-- Anonymous, August 25, 2002

I figure your sources would be very unreliable because i could see them making a ff7 remake way before ff8.Most people tell me that FF7 was the best one and FF8 was the worst so i wouldnt see too many people getting excited over the FF8 remake.I have both 7 and 8 and I would say 7 is just way better.

FF8 IS THE PLAUGE!!!!! IT IS THE WORST GAME EVER MADE!!!!!!! ANY REMAKE OF THE TERRIBLE HORRIBLE GAME KNOW AS FF8 SHOULD INSTANTLY BE WEIPED FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH FOR IT IS PURE EVIL!!!!!!!

Aside from that I love all the FF games. I really hope they release FF1 and 2 in the US some time soon. I love both the classic NES versions and would be practically giddy at the sight of PSX cut scenes. =) =) =)
