On behalf of my family, The President of the Presiding Elder's Council Rev. Henry A. Joubert and family, Rev. J.P. Jones the Pastor of Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mitchells Plain and members I wish to join the Rev. Legolie with the sentiments expressed.

Rev. Messiah has been one of the stalwarts in leading the Church and bringing her thus far. There is no doubt that he has left a legacy behind, not only via the two sons given to the Church, but his works certainly will follow him. His enthusiasm for the Lord and especially his presence at any service will certainly be hard to emulate. Paul says that those who's gone on before us rest from their labours, which I believe believe the Rev Dr. Messiah certainly deserves. May his family left behind be comforted by the thought that there are many of us who will always cherish the memories left behind.

Oh when I come to the end of my journey.....
