how many nobel prize was given for psychology

How many Nobel Prize was given for Psychology and who are they and for what? Throughout history somebody said that there were only about five or six people who got a nobel prizes in this area is that true.

There is no Nobel Prize given for psychology. The Nobel topic are, as I recall, physics, chemistry, medicine, economics, literature, and peace.

True, there is no Nobel prize for psychology, but various persons who are important in the history of psychology have won Nobel prizes. You'll find an alphabetical listing of all Nobel laureates at http://www.almaz.com/nobel/alpha/A.html

and at several related sites. The following site lists all the neuroscientist recicipients, several of whom are claimed by psychology (Eccles, Golgi, etc.):

I think Wade Pickren, APA's archivist, at one point compiled a list of psychologist Nobel laureates, but I don't think he has posted or published it anywhere.
