Danny, why don't you introduce yourself. I've never seen you here before. I don't open up links for much these days due to viruses so tell me what I'm missing. I noticed you put this same scary site on other forums so now I'm curious.

Seems safe Kathy. :-) From what I saw, however I got sidetracked reading about the copyrighted spooky pictures. Lil' tiff.

Actually, this reminds me of a site someone showed me, but it was of a supposedly haunted library, much history involved with the place. I forget the name, but it has live cams....really sort of interesting info on that site. Trying to remember.......if I do I'll post a link.

Well Patty since your computer didn't quit from opening it I'll take a look. I used the active scan that someone had posted here & found I had 11 viruses in my files & 1 in my e-mail. When I had the scan delete/disinfect them my computer would no longer connect to the internet-it took me a few hours to figure out what to do to get it working again. Since then I've been really careful.:) I must be getting paranoid in my old age-those conspiracy theories on the HomesteadingToday board are making me question everything.:o)

Kathy those conspiracy theories , should be look at the same way as getting the news from a tabloid magazine that claims a women gave birth to a baby , who's a space alien.

Steve, You mean that baby isn't an alien?? LOL :) :) I found it's cheaper to read that forum than buy an Enquirer. There's some good advice & people but there's also a lot of radical stuff that I just don't think is completely factual. I read it then try to find other sites to back up anything I'm really concerned about. We don't have cable or satellite so the only TV news I can bring in is a local station that doesn't do much coverage of daily world events. CNN on the web seems pretty good but I still check other sources.

Kathy, I find the international news quite enlightening. Sorry to say, but much political "yuckyness" is in fact, true. It's money, greed , power......as old as time.....our possible undoing. But ya know, what else is new.

I believe fear has always been used as a method of control.Even parents use it to keep their children under control.Most of what people worry about will never happen. When I was a child in school we had drills to hide under the desk in preperation from a possible nuclear attack from the Solviet Union. Today there is no Solviet Union , so now there is Terrorist. Someone ? did attack on 911, but all the fear in the world wouldn't have prevented it .I kind of fear going on the Interstate, which is the most likely place I feel I have of getting hurt from careless drivers who take unnecessary risks I think of them as Terrorist .But I just use caution.Most people fear things they have no control over. Some people think if they use violence they can stop the things they fear.But then they allowed their fear to control them into becoming violent. Now violence becomes something they have no control over and it controls them. Most of the worlds violence comes from fear and control.Ever have a buck goat push his head on you. The harder you push him back, the harder he keeps pushing.But if you pet him gently with no resistence , after a while he learns to stop pushing .The more you resist things in life the more resistence you get back.Ease up have no fear , don't resist and fears disappear. It like a toy I once had from China town. It was a finger trap. It's a woven tube of some kind of plant materail. You stick one finger from each hand in each end of the tube . When you pull hard to get your fingers out it gets tighter and it's strong material , so your fingers are trapped and stuck . When you ease up and stop resisting, you can gently remove your fingers. It's a very educational toy .I had one when I was about 6 years old, and it cost about 10 cents.I never argue with people , I give them no resistence to sustain the arguement. But then some people like to argue and wouln't want this advise .

I re-read my post and now I'm wondering what in heck was the point I was trying to make ???? ...Maybe it was that, there's always negativity going on and we fear it might affect our lives and it might .But all bad things that happen to us will makes us stronger.And maybe the strenghting of our spirit is what this life is about. Imagine everyday was a good day and only good things happen.And you don't have to stive for achivement , everything is just handed to you. Life is just perfect.Than where's the challange , and what the purpose of living.I think it's to over come all the obstacles that come before us.And still be able to smile.

Kathy, which virus scan did you use? I tried, but it wouldn't do it's thing. IE, error page.

Steve, I agree with much of what you say, and yes no need to let fear define you. But, I think the goverment uses fear to control as well as in the broader human sense. I really do see our rights dwindling.

Patty, I used the one at www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/activescan.asp If that doesn't work just go the the pandasoftware site & click on the activescan link. I had to do that one time when it wouldn't open the full link. Be prepared for it to take forever to run. Mine took over 7 1/2 hrs (42,666 bps) but it had over 55,000 files to check. It will give you a report after it's done and you can set it to delete/disinfect the infected files either before you start running it or after when you get the report. I was impressed with it but then again I'm easily amused :).I just didn't expect it to take all night to run.

Patty I think alot of the lose of rights and freedoms is the cause of an over populated world.Also from a majority of people who have no respect for others and abuse freedoms..Wal- mart has a scanner at the exits and cameras all over the stores.When you leave wal-mart you are being electronically search without your permission without a search warrent ,That's against the 4th amendment ..Why ,I think because people have no respect for the property of others and take things without paying. Also some are being resticted to not have farm animals on the land they want to purchase. Over population and close living create this law . I'd just move to a place that the rules are compatable to my desires .I found it funny when road blocks were set up last year in this area looking for escaped convicts who were jailed for murder.The police looked in the windows of each car before me , and after me , in line at the road block and they skipped me like I was invisble...I believe because no one can give me rights , no one can take them away...I seem to project this on people who I come in contact with...Anyone whom I thought was giving me a problem and was trying to restict me , I found latter in time their negativity actually benifited my life in a way I couldn't see at the time I felt resticted . Rights are an illusion of the material plane (World ).Believe you were given rights , then you will believe they can be taken away.The fear of losing your rights will weaken your composer and break the aura around you that protects you from the weak ones who insist the illusion of the material world is truth...I'm probably sounding like a lunatic.... Nothing new ..The only one who can take your rights away is yourslf , with your fears. And the illusion of the material world is not truth, so it has nothing to sustain it's consistency. There fore yesterday was slavery, today might be freedom , tommarow might bring slavery , and in 30 decades there might actually be peace and 40 decades latter war again .The illusion of the material world constantly changes. Don't get trapped in the illusion. And don't take mine or anyone else's opinions , find the truth through an opened and kind heart on your own. I think this hot weather has fried my brain , Again. And don't hold my ignorance against me.
