It most likely won't be a big fee. I am guessing around 5 to 10 dollers. If it was 20 dollers no one would want to play.

I heard it's £7.I don't know how many dollars that is.

There's no monthly fee. All you have to do is pay for the hard drive and modem, and then you just run it off your internet connection.

i not sure if that is true DS. someone that works at my local EB told me there was gonna be a fee. u dont have to buy anything like a modem unless u have only a 56k connection then u have to find a ps2 modem that goes into the back of the ps2 but for all u need is a usb cable to go from ur box to ur ps2. u might be right DS but, and dont be mad, i trust my friend rodney at EB then anyone else on the net i dont know from my town, lol. ===---...

i'd guess about $20 it's not even out on ps2, x box,or anything for that matter, so i'd think i'd be pretty pricie.

Actually, they plan on having a $10 monthly fee -quite normal for a MMORPG- and they will probably sell the actuall game for $15-20 including a free month -which is also normal if not cheaper than a normal MMORPG *recenlty bought DAoC for $55*- and the modem will be about $40 and come with a -certificate?- for a free copy of twisted metal black: online. hmm you wont need a harddrive because it wont be out when ff11 hits stores.... x.X but they will eventually need one to patch and such.

what do you expect its a final fantasy forum not ham-what ever the fuck it is.

I think it's free. To use the PS2 modem it's free. Well, kind of at least, you use a boot disk to configure the modem with your ISP, then then the PS2 will use your ISP for internet games. But since there are computer games that cost money to play online, Final Fantasy 11 might to. But FF11 will sell better if it's free to play online. Square will sell a lot more copies, but it will also gradually make money durring online payments. so it's contraversal. I suggest you take your minds off of it until square speaks out.

You need a hard drive. FF11 doesn't run off a disk, you install it into your ps2. it costs like 140 bucks. Hence the no fee afterwards.

Does anyone no if you play it without the modem.obviously not as satisfying but just till you can dish out the cash, that is if we ever get it.

Doesn't a PS2 hard drive fit into the same slot the modem would?

In Japan, FF11 was released in A special Limited Edition Box with the game, an artbook, and four emblems representing the four countries participating in FFonline, for ¥8800. i used a currency calculator and that comes to $73.6155, or £48.3168. So, it will probably be $69.99 in the US and £49.99 in britain. That's just for the game though. You need a modem which is 40 bucks, and im not sure how much the hd is.

The game cost around $50 and a fee of $8 to $10 a mounth. Then you will have to but the Network Adapter for $40 which has been out for 2 mounths now! Also have to buy a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) which you will pay $80 to $100 for it. You will play the whole game off the HDD!like a memory card!! all together it is going to cost $200 in all!

I think that if any of you ohave adsl, you may be able to plug your adsl modem into the ps2, otherwise, what are the 2 usb slots on the front for!?!?! also, about the harddrive, if u think about it, if u got a double ended usb and some software, u could use your pc harddrive.

does anyone know if ff11 will be released in the uk, if so... WHEN!?!?!?

so far no one knows how much you pay for ffxi for online, www.sqauaresoft.com has a poll there asking if they should make you pay for online service or if it should be free. But from what i heard, in japan they actually "pay" for it so im not sure... let's all just hope for the best.
