I'm just trying to keep up!! All the canning and yard work makes for long days. Why do weeds seem to grow faster toward fall? LOL I'm pickling banana peppers tomorrow and the butter probably yet tonight. To add to the chaos, I signed up for a craft show so I've got soap, candles, smelly jellies and aromatherapy lotions to get done by October 5! I spackled the first floor walls, I'm repainting all the rooms and putting in new tile in the downstairs bath & kitchen. My friend is going to help me since I have 14'cathedral ceilings in the living room & master bedroom so I'll be on the ladder. Work goes easier if you have company $ a good stereo!! LOL While I was gone today it appears someone came on the property. I found one of the locked storage buildings doors wide open. I haven't gone out there to see what's gone, it was already getting dark when I noticed it open, it's quite a ways from the house and that's the area where I saw the bobcat last time.I'll check in the morning when there's better light & I'll still take the gun just in case. Three of my rouen ducks, two hens and a drake are missing with no signs of something killing them. They were in the big fenced pen so there should be some evidence if it was a predator. Seems suspicious that a predator would take a matched trio when there were 50+ ducks in there but I suppose it could happen. As I was driving down my road near the main highway I passed someone in a truck leaving but I had no idea who they were or if they were visiting the other neighbor. So what is everyone else canning or doing?

Been working on things around the place, now that the weather has started to cool off and since the creek has been running, first time in many years to run this long, due to all the rain we got last 5-6 weeks. Some of the drought hit plants are making a come back and am finally getting a few things to dry (the peppers). Some of the peppers are just now blooming but there is still time, maybe. The grasshoppers have made their appearance.

Kathy have you heard of a Friona Horne from Australia, she has written a couple books on witch craft, she was on radio Australia today and it was pretty interesting what she had to say about how she was raised catholic and then changed, sounds as there are a large number of people that are forgoing the traditional religions. I've never been religious, always considered myself more of an agnostic since Vietnam.

Anway, very little going on here, haven't even found any interesting web sites of late to post about.

Well anyhow, BC, I'm glad to see you posting. :-)

B.C, no I hadn't heard of her but I will try to find her on the web. I'm going to a harvest festival/full moon ritual in a couple of weeks, that should be fun. They are having aura readers coming, I wonder what color my aura will be? I don't know much about them but it will be a learning experience if nothing else. Glad that you're back. I know what you mean,I keep trying to find interesting things to post or something brilliant to say but some days it's just impossible. I don't think I'm a boring person, but what goes on in my life doesn't always seem like it would be that interesting to you guys. Funny, I love finding out what's going on with you guys though. Maybe I'm just voyeuristic.LOL Heck, we all can't have those hunky electric linemen strutting their stuff in the front yard like Patty. :>) :>) Anyway, time to go can some butter. It was too hot today, I can't believe it hit 94 today. Hopefully, autumm will be here soon. Have a good night/day.
