Which model has the correct color scheme

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Central of Georgia Railway Historical Soc : One Thread

As I'm sure you guys know, Accurail and BranchlineTrains (on an Accurail body) have models of PS-1 40' "Moneysaver" box cars. I have one of each and was wondering which version is the more correct one. The Branchline model is lighter in color and has smaller lettering with some of the decals in slightly different locations from the Accurail version. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions. All are greatly appreciated. I used to have a snapshot of either me or my brother taken about 1953-54 standing next to a C of G boxcar in Orlando. It was the first time I ever noticed the C of G. Hope I can find that darn picture.

We posted an article to the Web site when Kadee released its version of this car. For more details, including a photo of the car and links to Kadee's Web site, the link is

Merrill,

Actually, neither the Accurail nor the Branchline cars have very accurate lettering.

However, the lettering on the Kadee box car is extremely accurate.
