Leaky Senna Water Pump

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Hi all, I took my Senna in for its 1st service and was told the water pump is weeping and will be replaced under warranty. I never saw a drop of fluid on the garage floor and I don't see this as a big deal but am curious if this is a common problem with these motors. Anyone else seen or heard of this? Any other common problems I should keep an eye out for? Any word on engine parts availability? I've heard rumors that worry me a bit. Thanks for any feedback. Dave

Same with my 1+1 first service, will get it back on wednesday from importer. But kept on driving with an eye on the fluids, has passed 3500km without refilling. Don't know what they will do about it

Greetings Dave- I had the pump on my 2000 F4S replaced 8 months ago. The pump is starting to leak again. I have until December to get this one covered under warranty. I'm wondering if I will get stuck with the bill in another 8 months if it starts to leak again. At the time my dealer had to order the pump so it took a couple of weeks. If your dealer had one on the shelf than I suspect it's is a known problem. Other than that, The bike has been great.

F4S 1+1 '02 w/ 2700 miles. In for 2nd service and was told the water pump seal was bad. Didn't notice a drop in fluid or temp fluctuation, but am having the seal replaced under warranty. Other than that, the bike has been flawless.
