Can I be a CAPPA & DONA Member?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Doula.Com General Discussion : One Thread

Hello! I am a member of CAPPA and going through labor training through CAPP. I aklos wish to be a member of DONA. My question is, do I have to go through their labor training also to be a member? Liz

No, you can be a member of DONA without taking their course. It costs about $40 a year for a membership. Go to DONA.com and click on Boutique. There should be a link that says memberships and you can find info there. Good Luck!

Just remember, you can be a member of DONA but not certified through them unless you complete the certification process guidelines. In other words, yes, you are a member but no, you cannot use their letters (DONA) in any way in your listings or advertising.
