My favorite is baked apples, and I guess there are quite a few recipes for them. Anyone having a special baked apple recipe post it here. I just got a bag of apples the other day, can't wait to try them.

Not a baked apple recipe, so I hope that this is acceptable.

FRESH APPLE COOKIES Cookie Dough: 16 tablespoons margarine 2-2/3 cups brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons ground cloves 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cup apple juice 4 cups flour 2 cups chopped apples 2 cups raisins 2 cups chopped nuts

Glaze: 3 cups powdered sugar 5 tablespoons apple juice 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons margarine

Cream together margarine, brown sugar and eggs. Add baking soda, spices and apple juice and mix well. Gradually add flour, mixing well after each addition. Fold in apples, raisins and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 - 12 minutes. To prepare glaze combine all ingredients and beat until smooth. With a knife spread warm cookies with glaze. Makes 5 dozen cookies.

Yes they are quite good, here is another recipe, haven't tried this yet, but it sure did sound good, so I will share it with you. Will try it soon, I have one for porkchop with apples somewhere on this cpmuter of mine, if interested can post it.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples Crispy fried fish topped with honeyed apples. This unique dish always get loads of compliments. Plus everyone is always surprised of the pairing of fish and apples. If you can't get sea bass, any firm white fleshed fish will work. Catfish is another fish that goes great with the apples. Prep Time: approx. 20 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 35 Minutes. Makes 4 servings.

4 apples - peeled, cored and cut into thin wedges 1/2 cup margarine, divided 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 2 cups dried bread crumbs 1 egg, beaten 4 (6 ounce) fillets sea bass

Directions 1 Melt 1/4 cup of the margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the apples in margarine until tender. Stir in honey, reduce heat, and keep warm. 2 In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt, and pepper. Place bread crumbs in another shallow bowl, and egg in a third bowl. 3 Melt the remaining 1/4 cup margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Dredge the fish in the seasoned flour, dip in egg, then coat with bread crumbs. Place the coated fillets in the hot skillet, and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side. The fillets should be nicely browned, and they should flake easily with a fork. Place fish on a serving dish, and spoon the apples with honey over the top of each fillet.

Another recipe, guess I'm in the sharing mood:

CURRIED APPLE SOUP Yield: 6 servings

2 lg Cooking Apples Lemon Juice 2 ts Curry Powder 3 tb Butter Or Vegetable Oil 5 c Chicken Stock 1 ts Salt 2/3 c Apple Juice 1 1/4 c Whipping Cream Ground Ginger Servings: 6 Cooking Time: 30 Minutes Peel and core the apples, keeping a few curls of peel for a garnish. Mince this peel and keep it in water with a little lemon juice until needed. Fry the curry powder in the butter until dark brown. Stir in about a quarter of the stock and cook until the mixture is smooth. Add the rest of the stock and the salt. Mince the apples and drop immediately into the stock in order that they do not discolor in the air. Cover and allow to simmer, gently, for 20 minutes or until the apples are soft. Add the apple juice and blend well. Chill the soup for several hours, or until needed. Add the chilled cream just before serving. Sprinkle a little ginger on top when you serve and garnish with the minced apple peel, if desired. There I think I have made a dinner course with apples, main diah, dessert, and soup. Bon appetite
