Well let's see. I made cinnamon applesauce out of 1 1/2 bu of apples. Apple butter is brewing now and will be ready to can in the morning. I cut out squares of fabric for a quilt swap-my first time at quilting and it was harder than I thought. Hauled 10 big roosters and 13 ducks to the Amish Community. Caught 10 other ducks for a fellow to pick up-not fun muscovies fly!! Cleaned my garage. Started filling in the yard where all the rain this summer eroded areas. Cleaned the chicken and goose houses. Marked out where my new raised beds will be located. Thought about holiday gifts and took inventory of what I needed for any that I'm making. Normal household and yard chores. All in all a fairly laid back couple of weeks, workwise.

I built a 10 x 6 front porch and got the front of the house painted. Today I dropped 10 hrs of my 88 hr work week. Dropping that 10 hr shift was harder for me than building the porch - that only took 4 hrs to complete. I guess 18 yrs of marriage to a carpenter was a learning experience on more than one level.

My youngest got sick. Then, I got sick. We are both better now and his school work is caught up and the backlog of housework is 2/3 done.

Believe me, that was enough for 2 weeks!!!!!!

Put up 20 gallons of wine, put together 12 shelf units, harvested 400 pounds of worms, burned my deadfall limbs to ash my tomato plot for next season and spoke to a former supervisor , who asked me to consider coming out of retirement and going to work for him with his new employer.
