Sharing my testimony

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

One of the things I always do with new members and my congregation is to tell them about my faith journey. For I want them to know what God has done in my life. I have included a short portion on my web page. The lord told me to post it today. Please go to www.forministry.com/59715spcac and on the menu on the left at the bottom, click on Pastor's Testimony.

Our God is a great God and I hope we all will share all the good things he has done for us. Hold on he's coming!

Rev Rogers, that is a powerful testimony. The song rang in my spirit after reading it.

"He was there all the time. He was there all the time. Waiting patiently in line. He was there all the time.

God bless you. I would like to meet you, but I knew in spirit we have given one another an holy kiss.

Carmen you are my biological sister, my story is God's story. And I share it freely for he never forgets any of his children. My childhood affected by choices in life in positive ways because of God. I am also a social worker with a specialty in working with youth at risk and their families. I have also worked as an alcohol therapist. God can take all of our scars and turn them into victory scars. I work a lot with children in rural schools and tell them them my story and every time I have spoken there have been youth who have come to me to tell me I am telling their story and they thought they were all alone. I tell them there is hope. If God had not stepped into my life I would be dead! I know that. I have no doubt for the streets were calling to me. But because one Christian and others Christians would not give up on me, my life and soul were saved. It is a joy to wake up every morning and ask God "How I can serve you?" I know there are many on this board who also have a God story to tell. We must share what he has done in our lives for he is so good! He is such an incredible God, God bless you all, each one of you are part of God's plan for salvation. Do not give up for as A.M.E's we have work to do for him.

Dear Sister Rogers,

Thank you for sharing your powerful testimony with us. As I was reading it, I was thinking over and over again of how good God is to have sustained you through all those trials and tribulations. I was reminded of the scripture in the Bible which states my strength is perfected in weakness. I thank God for people like yourself and brother Robert Matthews who have come through their trials and tribulations with nothing but praise for God on their lips.

Jazman I hope you will always know that you are my biological brother. God is such an awesome God. And thank you for mentioning my name in the same company as Robert Matthews for he is one of my all time heroes. Robert praises God all the times, and he is a tireless worker on the mission field. He has been a powerful mentor to me and my ministry. Jazzman I am so happy that all of us are A.M.E for we never would have met. Isn't God wonderful!!!!!!

Brother Nalton thank you for your kindness, I am but a servant of God, a person who did not deserve his grace, but yet he gave it to me any way. I cannot put into words how much I love God for he has done so much for me and others. The bright light that you speak of is his son Jesus Christ. I am so excited to be a minister and even more excited to be an A.M.E rural minister. The good news about my testimony is that it has multiplied millions of time by God through the miracles that he gives to all his children. My prayer is that all of us will share our testimony, whether it is big or small for every believer has a story to tell. Give my love to my Bermuda Conference family. And I will pray for you and your wife and family. You always think of others with prayer and tonight I will pray for you. Thank you for being my brother in Christ.
