Nikon F80 with Nikkor 28-100G lens

How much will it cost in Singapore? It was offered for S$968/- at Nikon road show. They have some free gifts - like Aluminium box, tripod, Nikon Vest etc.

Is it worth buying for this price?

Please note the lense in this kit is a consumer lense and if you are serious in photography, you would better avoid such lenses. It is the marketing strategy to sell as a kit as well as giving away some free gifts. This lense is 3.5-5.6 and I think for 5.6 Apertuer at 100mm end is not usable for me. And you can find Nikkor has another 28- 105mm f/3.5-4.5D IF lense. You can easily tell which is better. I am a serious amerture photographer and if I were in your case, I will purchase a F80 body and a 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 lenses first. I once get a quotation from Cathay Photo and the F80 Date Black body is S$770 and the lense is around S$550. Not so cheap But you get what you have paid for. Should you go for kit and buy from the roadshow, perhaps you might find--later--that the lense is much less than you expected, of course if you are a serious photographer.
