Evidence Shows Teenager Was Gunman in a Sniper Death

VIENNA, Va., Oct. 27 — Prosecutors in Virginia said today that they had evidence that the 17-year-old charged with an adult in the sniper attacks that terrorized the Washington suburbs was the gunman in at least one of the shootings. The prosecutors are using the revelation to buttress their argument that Virginia is the best venue for the first trial of the two, who would both be eligible for the death penalty here.

You mean they pleaded innocent at the arraignment, or is that part of something else? Oh wait, the arraignment was for gun charges, not murder.

Perhaps, when arraigned for murder, they will plead guilty. Save us all some time and money.
