just wondering what everyone is going to be for ALL-HOLLOWS-EVE?? Me?? the same as the last few years,,, I have an old gnarly mans mask,, and I wear a black cloak with the hood up,, Ive even gone to families houses,, pounding on the door, yelling,, TRICK OR TREAT", in a deep grizzly voice,, and they dont answer. Not sure if they know its me or not,,,,

I'm too far off the beaten path to get any trick or treaters. I'm making the one little boy(4yrs old) nearest to my place a plastic pumpkin full of goodies since he won't be coming all the way down this road. It's Samhain for Wiccans so I'll be having a little personal ritual to celebrate the holiday. There's no one home this year so it's just me. Otherwise it will be a quiet evening. Well, it's 9;30 p.m. here and so far only three kids have come trick or treating...my own granddaughter and my two step-granddaughters!! With this being a very small town (most of the grammer school classes are doubled up) I don't expect any other kids to come knocking. Guess that means more candy for me and hubby :-)!!

Well given that I live in a Ghost Town, pretty sure that there will be no trick or treaters here.

Looked up Samhain seems that it shares a little with The Day of the Dead festival in Mexico, (Los Dias de los Muertos, where families welcome, converse, remember the spirits of dead loved ones) which is a big festival here, and everyone goes to the cemeteries and builds altar for the rememberance of departed loved ones, quiet a festival with neat skull candy and such.
