Dearest Git,

In these tense times, when a stray world-ending event could happen while I'm chasing a goat, I just don't have time to seek out, sort, and absorb the important news. I always come here, where it's done for me.

why am I getting this image in my head of OG as a sponge being wrung out?

Because I feel like one?

But, seriously, folks. Sometimes I think I'm talking to myself and wonder if it's all worth it. Then someone comes along like dear ol, um, dear sparkling Helen and I go back and look for some more water to put in the sponge so I can saturate these pages. Gawd, that's almost poetic.

As you know, I'm supposed to be glued to the computer between 7 and 9, so if it happens then, it'll be here, often before any other news site has it. I'm usually here after about 7 PM because the machine is supposed to be hooked up to report on nefarious activities. In between it's a crap shoot. Lotsa crap, huh?

Thanks, H!

I second what Helen said. I know I don't post often, but I check in here a couple times a day and really really really really appreciate your posting OG. :)

OG's posts have always been excellent, going back to when I first joined in the discussions of the original TB2000.

Well, let's have a memorial rally for Old Git.

Can anyone scare up a casket? shouldn't be too hard since it's after Halloween now. Just ask a Democrat.

ROTFL

On a serious note, I also enjoy having all these articles assembled magically in one place so I don't have to overtax my poor dinosaur of a computer by making it run all over the 'net.

Now if I could just get this old computer to do pictures so I could send them to Git like I said I would. I have reloaded the software twice now and still it messes up. I may have to do it the old fashioned way!
