Henrico County Police are investigating a disturbing discovery on the grounds of an elementary school...a loaded assault rifle. Police say the SKS-762 was wrapped in a sheet near the playground of Chamberlayne Elementary School on Wilkinson Rd.. A teacher found the weapon around 7:15 am Friday morning. The assault rifle has been taken to a ballistics lab to undergo testing. Investigators hope to find out if the weapon is connected to any crimes in Central Virginia.
