Don't forget to witness to the children

Today my daughter and I were at a store in the mall while she was looking at something I noticed a little 8 year old boy staring at me. It is not that unusual in Montana for there are so few African Americans in my town. I smiled at him and asked him about halloween. He gave me all the details about the candy he received. I asked him what he dressed up as. And he proudly said MOSES! I told him I was so proud of him for dressing up as someone from the Bible. As I was leaving I said have fun in church tomorrow. A sadness came over his face and he said "he didn't go to church that his family hadn't found a church." I invited him to our church. But he told me he lived in a town 300 miles away. I got the sense the little boy wanted to go to church but the family didn't. I told him I would pray for him and that God will find a way so that he could go to church. It made me think about other children who wanted to go to church but couldn't because the parents worked or the parents (guardians) couldn't take them. Have you thought about your own community are there children that want to come to church but can't get there. How can we reach these children.
