Becky is the Commissioner who helped me so much over the, ahem, squirrel bite last year and to whom several generous Currenters sent moolah for the animal shelter, Becky's favorite charity. Y'all will be glad to know the shelter has now opened its own spay and neuter clinic. It will be fixing shelter animals only for the time being but eventually hopes to expand to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for the area. This is VERY progressive for the provincial south!

The Hungarian and I put up Heron signs for the primary and for the election. Kinda ironic that the only candidate we actually did work for is a Democrat! (She's the old-fashioned kind of Democrat, though.)
