Seattle band Earth are playing their first Seattle show in over 8 years! Earth, who have become legendary for their droning guitar "rock", will play at the Rebar on November 12th. Earth will perform as a two piece with Dylan Carlson on guitar and Adrienne Davies on drums. Pay attention, you don't want to have to wait another 8 years if you done mess up and stay home. John Schuller and the Master Musicians of Bukkake will be making their only Northwest appearance for the year. Riding high on all the dough being made from his new record "Lesser Angel of Failure" (world misery) he has decided to pull together a special cast of characters for the evening's entertainment. This will not be a performance to NOT MISS! Who are the Master Musicians? What is Bukkake? If you don't know, you will find out. I was there. arrived early and ordered a dbl shot of jack and a coke to chase it. Afraid i wasn't too impressed with the first two acts. I spoke to dylan and asked what the set was to be. he said just new stuff. I can't rember the old songs. cool. Earth was soon setting up. Dylan wore a black suit and Adrienne was also in black. He played a grey ibanez and it sounded killer just like the records but way louder and heavier. I got another dbl jack and coke and prepaired for lift off. They played one song. It lasted aprox 30min, and was a new song. dylan introduced the band and then they started. It was an amazing show. The drumming was great and they seemed to be using the force to communicate between each other. They just played the croc cafe in seattle but I was in texas and missed. shit. they are playin SXSW though so if yer in austin find em!
