As a child I had a life questain that would pass through my mind from time to time. I wondered was it better to be the smartest person in the world or was it better to be the person with the most Love in their heart ?

What value does intelligence have ? It is a well sort after thing this knowlege and intelligence.People look up to intelligence . Wise sayings are always being re- quoted all the time. There are many people today who read lots of books on expanding brain power and functions , how to enlighten one self , books with quotes and statements from wise men from asia, and even books on nutrition that can have the brain working at peak performance with certain diets.

Since I believe when we die , our spirit no longer is limited to the boudries of the body and brain , we see what is outside the illusion we call reality , ( Earth life ). We become aware .We understand and know Truth .

So I wonder why all the expence in books , and why all the time spent to be more intelligent and what purpose does it have ? I don't believe this knowlege addiction will be needed in the next plane we transform to after this life.So is all this enlightenment and brain boosting developing just another material lust ? Or is knowlege the key to better understanding fellow humans better, taking care of the life sustaining resources of the Earth in a more compassonate and caring way , and learning to peacefully coexist with fellow humans world wide ?

I would think that knowlege and intelligence would civilize humans. Make them more compassonate , more caring to fellow humans, more peaceful.

Now I believe with education system of these days, humans are most likely of a higher intelligence in general than they were a hundred years ago . Has anyone noticed an increase in compassion , caring , peace, love than there was 20 or 30 or 100 years ago .Has intelligence really made us smarter people ?

We split the Atom , we have speed of light wire and wire-less communication devises.We have cars and computors. We travel out of the Earths atmosphere in little crafts that contain an artificial enviorment that humans can live in while they are no longer on the Earth .

So what value for human kind has this intelligence and knowlege brought us ? And how much of a better place is Earth now that humans are becoming more knowlege able and intelligent ?

Is intelligence Love ? About 25 years ago I met an interesting person who told me " intelligence without love and compassion is the same as evil ".I don't know if this holds true. But I remember these words as if I just heard them come from the persons mouth that said them .

Now I wonder , if all the people who are on the path to enlightenment , into raising their consciouness ,hightening their itelligence, boosting their brain power and expanding their minds were into raising their compassion level and enforcing their Love , would the world be better off then ?

Could Love do for the world what intelligence has failed to ?

I got on this subject because I find that a lot of conversations I have with people who are deeply into expanding their self awareness and intelligence end up as just them wanting to prove they are more intelligent than I .Something I may have agreed upon if the person just asked me who was more Intelligent .

So even though I will admitt to not seeing intelligence as a priority in life and not being very intelligent myself , I get challanged by enlightened ones as to their spiritual and intellectual superiority .Usually in a way that says , " See you were wrong all along ".

I believe enlightened people don't even notice that they have developed a supriority complex toward others .I will admit most who I meet that do this are more intelligent than I. And they have a stronger broader based vocabulary. They use words well and know words that have no meaning to me cause I lack a large volcabulary and I'm limited to expressing my thoughts in the small vocabulary I know and use.

I sometimes say things that makes sense and seem intelligent.I was once even complimented on something I said and another person said I was wise . Actually I don't feel wise .The knowlege I know isn't mine .It all comes from the creator , which is what ? or who ?

And this is where I see different from some others.Some people believe thay are wise or intelligent , when I see the intelligence they display is not owned by them. They seem to be taking credit for something they believe is theirs , knowlege and intelligence , when I see intelligence as something that is being lent to them by the creator .Yet people beleive it is they who are intelligent.They are as smart as God almost , at least that's what they are displaying . Maybe it's a subconsious thing they are doing without realizing it .I sure wish more people sort after the Love of God , and they were flaunting that around instead of their intelligence.

Now maybe it's my childhood religion that has been made to sort of brain wash me , but I go back to a religious based story where 2 people are in a paradise and they are told to eat from the tree of life.And not from a tree that wll give humans the intelligence to reason what's good and evil.Supposingly if they ate the fruit that was considered forbidden they have intelligence similiar to God .Different religions and cultures around the world have similiar stories of humans quest for being intelligent .

So are these stories told to convince the common people to remain ignorant and uneducated.Was it made up by the ruling class at the time for the purpoes of controling humans . Or was it wise ancient advise that humans will only use their intelligence for self serving puposes , to bully others ( even if it's just in words ), to belittle others and prove they are ignorant and their information is of low intelligence and has littel value.To control others and eventually distroy human kind , with intelligence.

I've seen people change with power and wealth .And I think it' is so much part of human nature that even the most thoughtful person will become changed when they become more powerful than others . As the saying goes ; absolute power corupts . And I see the search and collection of knowlege for the pupose of being superiorly intelligent to being almost equivalent to who has the biggest guns or the most bombs.

Last night while waiting in a parking lot in my car in town for someone , I was relaxing to music on the car radio. As I listen to the drumming of the drums in the song I became deeply relaxed I started to feel kind of euphoric.The last thing on my mind before becoming relaxed was the intelligence vs Love thing .And how I lack what others seem to take for granted and use to hog their way through this life , intelligence. And I questain to myself if I need to change lanes in life and perhaps I'm out of balance and I need to become more intelligent and consciously stive to be more intelligent and less compassionate and reduce my love for life and others .Just enough for a balcance

As I became euphoric I feel a slight lifting feeling as if part of my spirit has left my body , or I was partly out of my material shell. My biological space suit . And I see but not from my eyes, primitive tribes people.I see what are called eskimos ( Innuit People ).I see Africans , Asians , Native North Americans, South Americans , primitive tribes people from different parts of Europe and all around the world. And they are all chanting in their cultural language and playing percussion instruments. And I see a day ( maybe from the past ? ) that all are simultaneously playing percussion instuments and chanting all at the same time . And when they are at the peak of this ritual , the percussion instrument playing and chanting brings a trance like awareness and they are feeling this same euphoric feeling as I and they all are partly outside their bodies and they all become aware of the other tribes people all over the world are chanting at the same time. They feel and become in a state of oneness...And I along with them .. I even believe they see and are aware of me . And I see these primitive people who don't have many words in their vocabulary. They probably wouldn't seem to be intelligent to most people of today .I bet they can't even read . And I see my place in life.I see that it's OK not to want to be intelligent .And I thank these primitive tribal people from around the world who came to let me know , that just being content with the whole creation , to empty the mind and clear all thoughts and feel the oneness of the wholey spirit connection that we are all tied to each other with a thread like light .And to shed my thoughts and concerns of the material consumtion of intelligence , for it only has value ( power )in the " Material World ".

Sometimes the pinching of the butt of an acquaintence is nothing more than the attempt of friendly horse play( wal -mart post above ) .I heard reference made by enough people who wish this board was more active.I thought , there's enough people who like to see this board more active , all they need to do is post something . I posted what I feel . It may not be much but it's the attempt that counts.

The experience I write about above isn't limited to a one time event but like a repeat offender It's a lesson I haven't learned from and have repeated over on many occassions.

The chance that my statement is biased is highly probable . It's an opinion. The vision was not .

I bring up the wise compliment. The reason .It was something stuck in my head for a long while and it grew into some branched out thoughts .

When I first found the Countryside forum , I never had posted on a forum before.I don't think I knew what a forum was until that evening . From reading the forum I thought of it as a place where people who are highly over opinionated came to give their opinions.

Our family and friends already heard our opinions a hundred times , and we like giving out our opinions so much , what's the solution ? Post on a forum .

It was kind of being bull headed I thought . Opinions aren't facts . They are self centered beliefs. And no matter how carefully worded they are influence by a subconscious motive of dominace.To makes others see ,the way we see it .It's a first attempt to mold the world and reality into the way our will desires things to be .

I thought about how I was highly over opinionated person myself , but in real life I keep my opinions to myself unless asked about how I feel about some thing.

But in forum world the stronger the opinions are , has most of the time related to how interesting a topic and post could get .

So I never thought much about what I said in my opinions .I just let the bull out of the stall. I told things the way i saw them. My only concern was not to hurt anyones feelings. Mistakes are part of the perfection of life. Just another bull headed opinion.

So when I hear , i said something wise ,I had to think what made it wise as opposed to something I may say that is foolish.I start to wonder , if I say something and it isn't wise , does that automatically mean it was foolish ?

Now I start thinking in terms of wise and foolish. Before , all I did was think in terms of being bull headedly, arogantly opinionated. Opinions are deffinitly a diplay of arrogance. They are not facts. And even though opinions can be given from information that one believes are facts , opinions mostly come from self centered personal beliefs.I wonder how constuctive opinions are , if they can be considered constuctive.Certainly people seem to enjoy opinion trading .

So I've never thought to be wise or made an attempt at it . I always wrote from my head strong stubbornness, my one sided-ness...My opinions.

My opinions are no less arogant than someone who says all right wingers are nazi and all left wings are commies. The topic may be different , but the essence of what motivates the topic are the same .Bull head opinion...And think how some people who are realist refer to the value of an opinion when they say " I'll put my two cents in " before they give their opinion.I believe 2 cents refers to the meaning, acknowlegement of an opinion having small value ??? Maybe it means something else ?

So I'm up on a podium spewing out an opinion from a opening in the head that I sometimes believe should only be used for food consumtion ,and I get hit in the head with a rock that has the word wise on it. I start to lose balance a little and then soon after I get hit in the head with a rock with the word fool on it . And I fall off the podium .

And for a while , when ever I got back on the podium to speak I become conscious of the fact I could be struck with another wise or fool rock and that distracted thoughts, from what I had to say. .Lately I have tracked back to seeing things as just being , and not being wise or being foolish .So I can be bullheaded and my usual over opinionated self , without the ghost of wise or fool leaning over my shoulder .

I still wonder what pupose does posting at forums have and why people are so compelled to give their opinon publically. Do we think we are right about something and want everyone else to know we are ? Are we looking to say what we believe , so we can hear another opinion of conflicting belief that may prove instrumental for us in making a better assessment of the subject in the opinion . Or do we think we have all the answers and it's our God given right to force them, I mean , share them with the world .Maybe it's to satisffy a need or longing to be part of something in a group or tribal fashson. A place of acceptence and belonging . Something all humans search for and need to be whole .

Does anyone else notice , the deeper the mind searches for a reason to something or the true meaning to something , the more you realize there is no meaning or reason .It just is .All happening in a figure 8 type motion.

Most of the information shared on the forums can be found in much more efficient ways , either surfing the net or in Bio World , from people and books even the tube.So what pupose does it serve for people to post opinions on the forums ?

Maybe It's the arena. Possibly replacing the collisiums of the past where people with unconventional beliefs of the time ( forum ) were fed to lions while being viewed by the public, as entertainment .Sometimes it feels like Gladiator night where it's just one on one . And some days it's like a slow day at the turtle races.Place your bets .
