AO, where art thou? (Plus a FF6 question!)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : All Things Final Fantasy II : One Thread

I dont see any crazy thread subject on the front page, something must be wrong.

Anywho, a FF6 related question here...

Uh, the Ninja Guy, Shadow, Im just wondering. WTF is with that doggie that keeps randomly appearing? It runs forward and bites the enemy. Is there anything I can do with this dog? Any upgrades I can get for this seemingly random attack? I dont understand! Brain exploding!

Ah..Interceptor...That's Shadow's dog. Randomly, it will pop out of nowhere in battles, and take damage for shadow, then do a really powerful counterattack. It only does this when Shadow's in your party, though. No weapons, upgrades, or anything...and, yes, it is completely random. Interceptor is kinda like Angelo in ff8, but a lot more powerful.

Yes, interceptor is good, can really help tip the balance against hard enemies, a nice little addition, i think...

Downside to Interceptor. I've found that his attacks (Takedown and Wild Fang) won't work against aerial enemies, or when you have your feet off the ground. In short, if Shadow deflects an attack on the Final Boss from LV2 up, Interceptor's counter will do nothing. Shadow's limit break on the other hand...

This, however, is not the only mystery that FF6 holds. Everyone knows about the whole "Shadow is Relm's Father" thing. My questions include:

(1) When "Slime" is cast on you, why does a blue baby appear?

(2) When you're selecting which slot to play from, you can see any of your characters, an Imperial trooper, and this guy in this green armor and a fancy headress. Who the hell IS that?

(3) Who is the dog/sheep that wakes you up in the WoR?

(4) What is Gogo's real identity? Apparently, the Falcon crash landed on Triangle Island. Was Daryl eaten by a Zone Eater? If Gogo is Daryl, how did she survive, much less, learn to mime?

(5) Gamma Sword?

There's more...I'll think of them later...
