Uh, okay, so, my dad has been looking for a christmas gift for me for a long time. At first, I said prostitute, but he frowned on that. Now, it looks like Im getting a second gen console. Im getting a damn Xbox because I like the customization options, the Hard Drive, and HALO.

Now, other then that, I know virtually nothing about the Xbox. Ive tried doing research online, but come up with zilch. Im asking you guys, those of you who know anything about the Xbox, which games are good, which games are scheduled, which games are a must buy, if Final Fantasy will be making an appearence, blah blah blah. Puh-leese?

Yes the XBox is a desirable console, the controllers look bulky and clumsy but are suprisingly ergonomic to hold. Good games would be Halo, of course, Unreal Championship, Timesplitters 2, a very good fps multiplayer with over 10 multiplayer modes, including monkey assistant, which gives the person with the least kills 5 monkeys who help them, also has a good one player game that is different on all three difficulty levels, not just harder, there are more missions to complete as well also there is a lot to unlock characters and the such as well as multiplayer maps and modes. as you can see i like this game a lot. Morrowind also is a good rpg. Final Fantasy will never come out on the XBox, since after the ff movie and the big flop that it was sony had to bail Square out by buying 49% of the shares in Square so they are pretty much tied to the PS2 and subsequent Sony systems. Fable, far from finsihed is another good rpg, but that wont be out for ages though in it you can do practically anything and what you do has an effect on the story and the appearance of your character, which during the game ages from a boy to a man, if go outside a lot, you get a suntan, if you stay indoors you will become pale, sounds quite involving...thats about all i can say since thats all i have heard from friends...i dont own an xbox...

Well, IMO, the 'Box sucks balls...but to each his own! Choice topics are of course Halo and Morrowind. Of course, almost every GOOD game for the box (Max Payne, Morrowind, Halo, Timesplitters 2) is available for another console, or the PC. Of course, Halo is a blast multiplayer with your friends right next to you, and Morrowind would be MUCH better without the slowdown experienced on the computer. However, the XBOX future lineup doesn't look to promising. It's a 25 good - 75 bad in my opinion...

Actually the multiplayer on Halo sucks...its ok when left on its own, but next to timesplitters 2 it is poo, the only thing it is good for is using grenades/the rocket launcher to jettison the warthog (an offroader to you ignorant fools) into the sky and/or filling your base with vehicles on the multiplayer level Blood Gulch so they are piled up in the flag room leaving your falg as protected as possible...it also means you cant reach it to capture theirs but thats beside the point...and actually the XBox is a hell of a lot better than the PS2, in terms of power as it has a hard drive...admittedly i'd rather have my trusty old PS2 as it has many more games rather than, at the moment only one very good one...

Im sure even Picasso started out like crap. Give the Xbox time, it'll grow. Look at the PS2, it started off with crap games. In fact, the only system thats started off with good games in a while is Gamecube.

Yes Petey...hence the statement at the end saying i would still rather own a PS2 than an XBox cause it has better games...i was simply stating the basic fact that the XBox has far more potential for better graphiked/faster/smoother games as it is more powerful...
