And from there may fly to South Carolina. Barry is collecting stuff for the dogs to work with. This is from chat this evening. It may be somewhat up in the air, Judy was waiting to hear from the fbi.

I think I would've been there already, driving the back roads, passing out posters, and drumming up as many searchers as I could -- bribing them with food. I had half of my county out looking for my cat when he disappeared (never turned up).

But that's me. I go crazy if I have to sit around and wait. I'd rather be moving.

Whether Alice is found alive or not, I hope Judy has the strength to do the interview shows. I want these useless creatures to get the death penalty if she's found dead. I believe they'll be charged by the Feds and, as I recall, kidnapping across state lines is a very serious thing since the Lindbergh kidnapping.

11-20-02 at 11 25 pm I am feeling they will be finding her, I think tomorrow around 11 0r 1.... I am seeing 1's, could mean in 1 day. I will be posting my feelings on the semi trucks involved , I am trying to formulate...

I think Fulks used trailers to move around.. and I just have to stay in WV for them finding her. git, I have tryed to zoom the map you sent, and I can;t see any place they where talking about..it was as if I couldn;t focus on the SC/NC map. she isn;t there....I think they knocked her out and shoved her in a semi at a stop some place. and somehow WV is a part of it.

I think they will find Fulks got to Indiana in a semi, either hidden in the sleeper or hidden in the trailer..suppose it could be a box car train, but I was thinking trucks.

I am still so weepy, and I still feel the same as I have since Sun. I am hoping that I may be cross impressing on this other girl, Samatha.

SAR, do you mean they hid the car in a trailer? Because Alice's BMW was definitely identified as the car that sped away from Ohio troopers Monday night.

Just an update for everyone. . .

The transportation that had been contracted to go get Judy at her home late last night/early this morning and take her to Denver was very late, due to the damn idiot driver taking a wrong turn and going in the opposite direction! When she was finally able to make contact with the driver and found out the driver was going the wrong way, she was several hours away from her house. This was but one more SCREW UP in a long series of SCREW UPS because PEOPLE DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

She wasn't at all certain that she would make it to Denver in time for her Today Show appearance; she was far more concerned that she'd make it to the airport in time to make her flight. (8:15am flight)

Arrangements had been made to get a ticket purchased for her daughter Gina to accompany her to SC, but Gina decided NOT to go with Judy at the last minute because she was afraid to travel.

Judy is beat, dead-tired; she had not slept AT ALL the day before, and I'm sure hadn'thad much sleep in the days prior. She is going on this trip alone, and without specific support for herself. I sure hate it that she is alone!

I had Dennis write up a fundraising 'blurb' to be placed on the thread over at Freepers, because frankly, this nightmare is going to be even worse for Judy once she gets back home and opens up her phone bill.

While I am indeed a student of Murphy's Law, I can't really tell you when I've witnessed such ongoing, utter incompetence and apathy as I have during this terrible experience. No, not everyone was that way, but enough people -- and people who OUGHT TO KNOW BETTER -- have continually dropped the ball. It has caused needless (and perhaps tragic) delays, it has further complicated an already stressful situation, it has made everything that much worse!

I, too, wished for Judy to have the resolve and the appropriate and needed righteous indignation to appear on The Today Show and demand the death penalty for these cretinous bastards. After being with her in chat for the better part of each day for the last several days, (and knowing her as well as I do) I believe she would. I still continue to hope that she'll make it in time for her appearance AND still be able to make her flight; at this point, making the flight IS the important thing.

I'll update as I know more. She needs our prayers and well-wishes.

Posted by Mutter over at TB. . .

talking to fbi agent first now.

asked how they tracked the two suspects down. said the suspect was interviewed for a short time, got nothing specific from him. the car has been found and is in fbi hands in indiana. have no info that she was ever in indiana.....

PL is there also.

saying she is glad the suspects are caught. says at least no one else will get hurt.

says sister was fun. caring. that she was proud of her and liked her very much. says the family is trying hard to cope with this. struggling.

Sounds like Judy's driver had a heavy foot and made it to Denver in time.

I'm glad the fundraiser was started. I feel so useless up here. It made the local tv and radio news this morning, I think because of Alice's connection to New Hampshire. I'm finding it harder to get into my car coming back home in the evening. It was so random. I'm virtually always alone. I can see where it could happen to anyone, and I don't like that feeling. Worse than the bastards in the ME.

I have Judy's address where I am sending money this morning. She'll need it when she gets back. If anyone would like her address, e-mail me, either at my private address or jas_donald@yahoo.com and I'll make arrangements to get any donations directly to Judy.

Judy's husband has been laid off and there isn't any spare money.

A news item from near Bolivia, NC, which was still on-site at around 11:15 last night:

Wilmington TV station

Search for missing South Carolina woman ends up in Brunswick County

The search for a South Carolina woman kidnapped from a Wal-mart has moved into Brunswick County. Police believe they've caught the two men suspected of kidnapping 44 year old Alice Donovan, but she's still missing. Police say she was kidnapped last Thursday from a Wal-mart in Conway, South Carolina. She's from Galivant's Ferry.

Police say on November 14th Donovan was abducted by 25 year-old Chadrick Fulks and 21 year-old Branden Basham. The two men had escaped from a Kentucky detention center earlier this month. Fulks was serving time for robbery, and Basham for writing bad checks.

Police say on that day they abducted Donovan from Wal-mart at 2:37 pm. By 4:04 pm the three were spotted at the Amoco gas station in Shallotte, and were then placed on Highway 17 close to Bolivia at at 4:28pm. By 6:00 pm police say the men were back in Conway, and there was no sign of Donovan

Authorities have high hopes that Donovan will be found alive. Search and rescue teams will meet Thursday morning at the Brunswick County Sheriff's Department for a briefing before beginning again. They'll focus on more air searches and will begin combing nearby waterways for any signs of Donovan.

Could be just stale news, but also might be a bit encouraging. COuld be FBI wants Judy there so that she and her family can pound the media, trying to get people to come forward. However, I tend to lean on the pessimistic side.

Caught Judy on MSNBC after nine this a.m. From a professional's point of view, she was absolutely wonderful. Now, I know this is going to sound caollous but if your intent is to get people angry at the suspects and if you want people to come forward with information they otherwise wouldn't have passed on, this was exactly what was needed. She was on the verge of tears, the stress and strain showed clearly, and she had the "deer in the headlights" look. It was all honest, raw emotion and I doubt anyone watching was unmoved. Alice would be proud of her.

I think we all got a bit urpy at the Shorts, who tended towards sweetness and light; whereas, there was Judy, promoting the death penalty! There was no cockeyed optimism--when she was asked if she still had optimism, she answered it's running out. Yes! This is what most people want to see and hear when they're confronted by someone with a missing relative.

With this, let's hope that someone says they saw the car pulled over and the police can then find Alice.
