ADD/ADH

I would like to know for my research 4 questions if you could answer them: 1. What is the earliest case made about ADD/ADH and who was responsible for it(history text)? 2. What was the first drug given to treat these people? 3. What were all the drugs given to these people; by dates and names? 4. Why were these drugs discontinued?

First report on symptoms of ADHD was by physician George Still (Lancet, April 1902) re. "Moral control". Seems that first stimulant medication, Benzedrine, was precribed by Charles Bradley in 1937 (serendipitous discovery).
Currently used: detroamphetamine & methylphenidate.
Check: Jacobvitz, Sroufe, Stewart & Leffert (1990). Treatment of attention and hyperactivity problems in children with sympathomimetic drugs: A comprehensive review. Jr. of the Am. Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, 29, 677-688.
