I hope not most 'Otis' Empoyees didn't come out of the last merger with Express Evans very well. Most of the management was either EE guys or new boys, some with none or little experience, just right for brain washing. Those 'Otis' mangers that did survive were not listened to and was told if you don't like it there's the door. Top engineers in the UK are leaving the company and are fed up with the EE style of business. The feeling of belonging to a family called 'Otis' is gone! the feeling in the company is not the same and loyalty and doing that bit more????? And the treatment of their employees is sad tully an end of an 'era' May OTIS UK REST IN PEACE

Sad to see it's not just in the UK, greed seems to be the in word. Otis said once "We are a Quality company producing a top quality Service, but you have to pay for that quality! Now you just pay for it???????????

" Quality comes at a price "

Unfortunately, when the customer DOES pay for the quality, most companies just add the extra contract money into their bank accounts, instead of providing that quality by way of extra maintenance time, preventative repairs and spare parts.

So much for the power of the customer( insert local currency here )

I've never worked a day for Otis but I can tell unless thay are the biggest fools on the planet they don't want KONE. This company has gotten so screwed up I'll be surprised if they are still in business this time next year. They hate the Agreement and don't abide it most of the time. Mechanics are like "come alongs", when they break they just go out and get another. I feel real sorry for the young guys in the trade. Most have no idea what solidarity is and they are climbing all over their co-workers trying to get to the top. No pride, no quality, no brotherhood, it's a shame.

Another thing that is a shame is how this forum has degenerated into a spam board. Why can't the administrator block all this silly crap? I hope someone out there is listening.

Otis might not want Kone ....... but they certainly want Kone's customers.

The "Otis buys Express" rumour ran for years in the UK ...... and then one day it happened ...... goodbye Express Lifts.

Hi guys, Happy New Year. Well I have to say I'am now one of those Otis boys who have been asked to work for another company and accepted. Things will never be the same! Thank God.

I believe it's the US contract rights???

kone does treat the mechanics like used throw away diapers / you have to wonder how long the will stay in business / they as other companys have twist the word of there contracts to say periotic maintance / charging full price to customers as they had a old contract /and take routes that were once a full load for mechanic / to double the units and 1/2 the time alotted to perfom service ... there i said it .....
