BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- A little-noticed provision in a new federal education law is requiring high schools to hand over to military recruiters some key information about its juniors and seniors: name, address and phone number.

Maybe the military should just take over the public school system.Surely it would lead to some improvement . I've visited schools in the U.S where it was appearent that only the military would be able to restore law and order and make it a safe enviorment for children as well as an enviorment that was conducive to learning . At least the kids would learn disipline, get exercise( learn why half the human body is legs and what they are made for ) and learn gun safety and how to hit their target .These basic skills are lacking in a lot of the youth these days.

Maybe everyone should be required to belong to the military by law, for life . .Every able bodied citizen. No country would mess with us then , with them knowing every abled bodied citizen in the U.S. is coming over to their country to kick their butt if they start with us ..We wouldn't even have to go over to the trouble maker country that is causing problems . We just send them a video tape ( like the ones Osama sends us ) of all the U.S. citizens marching in uniform on all the roads and streets of America ,getting into airplanes and getting on ships, coming over to their country , TO GET THEM .It'll beat shaking a big stick at them . .This could be the answer to a more self diciplined U.S. cititzen and world peace at the same time ..

Oh , I forgot , we don't want world peace. All the weapons factories will close down and millions of people all around the world who make weapons in their country will be out of a job .When they loose their jobs , the businesses in towns around the weapons factories start loosing cutomers , the factories that make the materials that supply those weapons factories would no longer be needed if the weapons factories are closed and this would set off a chain reaction of lay-offs every where. This would be bad for the econonmy.I like a good economy . I guess it's just best to keep things the way it has always been . .

Ok look busy we got a war we need to start.

The economy depends on it .

I hope that when u go to Iraq, your military gets wacked in the head, with a bloody nose and splintered jaw just like in Korea and Vietnam. The Sandinistas kicked your white ass out of Nicaragua, and in El Salvador a reluctant Bush had to sign a pact with the rebels. You are not INVINCIBLE on the battlefield. You war loving Americans are cowards in protracted guerilla warfare. That is why you pay bribes to the Colombian guuerillas so as not to bomb your precious oil pipelines. Last year the pipes where hit 200 times. Send your Special Forces to Colombia to see hos well they fight a long war, because the Colombian Army practically belongs to you since u pay for it, there is massive recruiting in schools in Colombia and the rebels have been fighting and bribing your companies for over 40 years. COWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The rebels have been trained by the Irish republican Army. The Brits were even stymied at the resilience of the IRA and they could never defeat it, and so it will be your case that you will never defeat Al-Qaida. I am so happy too, that they kicked your ass out of Iran too, to

Say there, "Lester." Passion is good! But methinks you addressed your treatise to the wrong address. Try this one: 1600 Pennslyvania Ave, Washington, DC.

Don't confuse the US government with the US citizenry. A good lot of us are deeply ashamed of its behaviour.

Earthmama , it may not be a good idea for Lestor to write a letter to the mentioned address unless he sharpens his diplomatic skills . Passionate letters to Presidents often end in visits from some federal people who ask a lot of questains while keeping the passionate person detained and entertained with a psychologist for a few days .

Lestor, maybe you should send a ( few hundred ) letters to that address expressing your beliefs .

You'll get your name in the news paper !...
