please pray for my mother

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

My mother has just passed away from cancer November 15th 2002 after only being diagnosed for three months. The cancer spread so fast from her lungs to her brain, liver, and spine. Looking after her during this time at home and watching her go that way was so hard ! She deserved so much better ... everyone had such kind words to say about her ... she helped out so many people in her life ! It sad that I really didnt have the full appreciation for her until she was gone. I miss her and love her so much 55 was just to young. There is so much I still want to share with you mom ... always in my heart Love your son Dean

Dean,

I'm sorry to read about your great Mom. You are showing your full appreciation for your Mom now. She is aware of the prayers that are being said for her holy soul, because of you starting this thread. I will rember your Mom in my prayers. Your Mom is not suffering now.

God bless you

David S

PS; Dean, in case you arn't aware, you, can have a Mass or two..... celebrated for your Mom's soul. It would be a very holy deed to do for your Mom.

Dear Dean, I will pray both for you and for your Mom. It is so hard to lose her, I know, but remember that she is with our Lord now, so as long as you stay close to Him, you will be close to her -- and you WILL see her again!

Though that doesn't mean you won't be sad or shouldn't grieve for her. May God comfort you today.

I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I pray that God will give you ALL the grace to help you through this time.

Rest in the arms of God, and may He give you peace and comfort.

Dean, I was touched by your post. Please accept my condolences.

Reflect on this beautiful chant from the old-rite Requiem Mass ...

In paradisum deducant te angeli,
in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres,
et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem.
Chorus angelorum te suscipiat,
et cum Lazaro quondam paupere aeternam habeas requiem.

May the angels lead you into paradise,
may the martyrs receive you at your approach,
and may they guide you into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the chorus of angels receive you
and with Lazarus, once poor, may you have eternal rest.

May Our Lady of Consolation help you today, Dean.
John
