Where Can I Find "At The Festival..."

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I have heard that Pope Paul II had recorder an album of music. The Title was "At The Festival of The Sacro Song." Is this true? And if it is true is there anywhere I could obtain a copy of it?

Thanks for your help

I have it! Funny, because I hadn't thought of it in years until the other day. Maybe if you do a Google search you can find some used record/cassette sites? Good luck!

Richard, I just did a search on Google for "Pope John Paul Sacrosong festival" and found two places where it's for sale. One is www.ncweb.com/biz/neighbor/ngr-frames.htm Click on vinyl LP's and then lookon the "Spoken Word" category. The next is www.worldwidewax.com/hrecs/53/5357.htm Hope these work, I can't do the direct links.

Hi, Christina. Thanks for the wonderful help. I found it available at http://www.worldwidewax.com/hrecs/53/5357.htm at a very reasonable cost for the LP. The cost for transfering it to a CD got pretty expensive. I don't and I'm about 90% sure the priest I wanted to give it to don't have an LP player anymore. I'v sent an e-mail to the other site that you found and maybe the cost will be a little lower. Again Many Thanks and Merry Christmas. Richard

Does the priest have a good quality cassette player? If you can find someone with good equipment, it is very easy to tape an LP onto cassette and much cheaper, too. Of course, the sound quality isn't as good.
