I am remarried, but want an annulment from first marriage

after being married in the church, having 3 children and a marriage that lasted 20 yrs. I left my wife have gotten a divorce and have recently gotten remarried again......I want to do all the church requires of me now with my new wife...can I get an annulment from the first.....thanks chuck

If there was a serious problem at the time of your first marriage, which prevented that marriage from being a valid marriage, yes. Otherwise, no. An annulment is a statement that a marriage was invalid from the start, because of a serious impediment that existed at the time of the wedding. If the marriage was not invalid then, nothing that happens later can make it invalid.
