Watchout for acid reflux

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

My brother-in-law went in to have tests run on his gall bladder and they found a huge tumor on his esophagus. Seems he has had acid reflux for many years and the acid completely destroyed three fourths of the gullet lining. They also said thats what caused the tumor. Anyway they took out the complete esophagus except for three inches and placed his stomach under his collar bone!!!!! No kidding!! When and if he recovers I will really tease him about that!

So I decided to report that acid reflux is nothing to mess around with!!! If you got it go get some help.....Much love.....Kirk

I really find it ironic, and more than a bit scary, that folks suffer endlessly recurrring digestive upsets (like the aforementioned acid reflux, which is simply very bad heartburn!) over, and over and over, does it never occur to them to listen to what their body is telling them, stop eating what is causing the problem!!! Gee, I wouldn't have to get ill more than a couple times from eating something I shouldn't, to learn my lesson and not eat that item anymore. Like MSG causing migraines, or dairy causing horrible gas, or too much fat, especially animal fat, causing awful heartburn, ie., the acid reflux.....

So, listen when your body tells you all is not well down in the tummy, don't keep eating what makes you sick, don't dope your body into submission, but change your diet and let your body heal itself.

there are time when a person's body get so acidic, that it doesn't matter what they eat...they just get heart burn from everything. When the body is totally out of balance, the ph gets way off and it takes alot of cleansing over a long period of time to get straightened out sometimes. That is discouraging if a person doesn't realize that and they often just give up and take tons of over the counter stuff. Idaho Gal thinklove@webtvnet
