Instrument Used To Shatter Car Windshield

POSTED: 7:38 a.m. EST December 27, 2002

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- A burst of outrage ended on an expensive note for a Northampton guitarist who used his instrument to shatter a car windshield.

Brett Ferron, 20, was ordered to pay $240 in Northampton District Court for attacking a woman's car with his guitar when she refused to give him a ride. He pleaded to sufficient facts without a guilty finding.

Police say they found a piece of Ferron's guitar at the scene of the crime and matched it to the destroyed instrument that he held on to.

a noteworthy crime.

He must have been really strung out.

To pick on her car like that.

No doubt it left him with a discordant feeling.
