Does anyone know if anybody makes frame sliders for the MV??

Yeah, there is a company in the UK that makes them, saw it in a magazine. I don't have their name or link handy right now but if I find it I will post it.

Do you plan on using either aftermarket or spare bodywork with those? I'd consider it if I had extra bodywork. It would be nice to put on some handlebar sliders as well as maybe a spool on the swingarm if there was a place for it...

If I recall correctly the frame sliders for the MV that were featured in one of the Brit motorcycle mags required that you drill one hole in each side of the fairing. They looked kind of tacky, but perhaps worth it for the peace of mind.

Yeah, unless the motor mounts are exposed on each side, then you have to drill the plastic. Since there are no holes in the MV, you have to drill it no matter what.

Just from what I've seen, you never want to use the frame sliders that don't mount to something really solid. There are ones for the R1 that mount in holes otherwise designed for holding the fairing, and you definitely don't want to use those. They seem to shear right off which doesn't do you any good at all. Maybe in a tipover, but not in a crash where the bike is moving forward. You want to mount these things on the motor mounts.

There are frame sliders for the MV that do not require drilling of the fairings. These sliders used the upper engine mount bolt as a position for installation. There is also a set of frame sliders that requires fairing drilling, but those mount to the forwardmost frame/engine bolts.

Umm... Do you mean the upper rear engine mount that has the bolt that goes all the way through? That would be one of the 2 mounts where the "trellis" part of the frame mounts to the aluminum side plates. That would work I guess... Do you guys have those?
