Response to NEED HELP!!! NEOCATECUMENAT!

Hello, Maciej.

"The Vatican has announced the approval of the Statute of the Neocatechumenal Way [NcW], the spiritual renewal movement born in the mid-1960s in Spain. ... The Neocatechumenal Way has spread to more than 105 nations. It includes 1500 communities in 800 dioceses and 5000 parishes. It has opened some 40 diocesan seminaries." (from http://www.cathnews.com/news/206/156.php)

The official site of NcW: http://www.camminoneocatecumenale.it/en/

Sorry, but I cannot find a list of the thousands of parishes in which the NcW is active. I think that you would have to contact each diocese/archdiocese separately and ask for a list of parishes.

God bless you.
John

Response to NEED HELP!!! NEOCATECUMENAT!

It has been approved in the Congregation for the Laity ad experimentum for 5 years and is still pending approval in the Congregation for Divine Worship, is that correct?

Dear S. Leach,
I find the first part of what you said at the NcW's official site:

[From the bottom of the Vatican's "decree" of approval:]

"Having seen the articles 131 and 133, §§ 1 and 2 of the Apostolic Constitution 'Pastor Bonus' on the Roman Curia, the Pontifical Council for the Laity DECREES the approval 'ad experimentum' for a period of five years of the Statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way, duly authenticated by the dicastery, a copy of which has been deposited in its archives, trusting that these statutary norms constitute firm and sure guidelines for the life of the Way and that they may be an important support to the Bishops in their paternal and vigilant accompanying of the Neocatechumenal communities.
"Given in the Vatican on the 29th June 2002, solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles, Patrons of the City of Rome. ...
"James Francis Cardinal Stafford -- President"
