articles on the SAL line that the SAM Short Line is running on

I would like to know where I could gain more information on the SAL line that ran from Savannah to Montgomery. Any books, articles, magazines, anything. I railfanned the line from Claxton to Cordele this weekend and took pictures of the remaining depots along the line. Do you have any back issues of your historical magazine that can be purchased? Any help would be appreciated.

We published a 2-part series in Lines South, "Pig Trails of Southwest Georgia" by Frank Crowe and Tommy Thornhill, that covers the history of this line from its beginnings to modern times. The articles were in the 4th quarter 2001 and 1st quarter 2002 issues. These are available for $5.95 each plus shipping from our catalog - see the catalog pages to order.
