I've got my Web mirror software cranking right now, over a 56k modem. It's downloading the complete contents of the Uncategorized Catholic forum page. Neat huh? It says there are 1135 individual threads. I predict that the end result will be anywhere from 25-50 Megabytes.

Aye, I know that what I'm doing right now might be a killer on Greenspun's bandwidth. But this is kind of necessary, you know? Before I begin the major project of sorting through the posts and extracting the good stuff for a streamlined archive, I may burn the contents of this forum onto CDs; perhaps I may be permitted to distribute them for free (with shipping fee) - but of course everything written here is copyright, and I can't very well distribute anything unless I get permission from, well, someone who counts. Any thoughts?
